Keep on reading if you want to know my thoughts about this neat camera gadget.
About The Product (360 Camera)
The Ricoh Theta S is a 360 camera. A 360 camera can take a picture from all angles with the two fish eye lenses on both sides. This camera can stream live videos, take videos, as well as take pictures. Images are taken/ recorded in full HD (1920 x 1080). The battery will last up to 25 minutes of continuous video recording. The camera can hold up to 8GB of memory. There is an app that you will need to download to access the camera’s features. In the app you can change the ISO and other settings to your liking for different lighting situations. In addition, you can use the app as a remote control to take your pictures. The app on your phone and the 360 camera connect via wi fi that comes with the 360 camera.

My Quick Review
First, let me say that I always have the Ricoh Theta S 360 camera in my purse. You never know when you end up in a place with amazing scenery! I’m going to break down some of the pro and cons that I have experienced with this 360 camera:
Super fun pictures, I love making them into “tiny planets”!
Unique product, not many people have one or have even heard about it!
Light weight, portable, easy to use. Setup is so fast and easy.
Has settings to change ISO for dark settings.
Price tag is not as bad compared to other new innovative gadgets.
There are 3 different apps that I use for this. One app is for the actual camera, one app is to edit pictures, one is to edit videos. I wish there was one app that did ALL of these.
There is no timer option!
You need a stand/ selfie stick or else your big thumb will always be the middle of the picture.
It takes a little bit for Ricoh Theta S 360 camera to boot up and connect to your phone if you want to use the phone as a remote shutter.
Even though my pro and con list both have almost the same amount, I really LOVE the Ricoh Theta S 360 camera! The amazing perspective on pictures and videos outweigh all of the cons for me!
Is It Worth It?
Do I think the Ricoh Theta S 360 camera is worth the price? YES! Technology is so big and some gadgets carry a hefty price tag (iphone, ipad, Oculus rift, etc..), however, this gadget is $299 currently on Amazon prime which is around the same price (even lower) than some point and shoots on the market now. If you have the money to spend on extra gadgets, I highly recommend this! Not many people have this now so it is very unique since you can create pictures that not many people have. This isn’t something you NEED, you can’t replace a traditional point and shoot with this so if you are deciding between cameras. This is definitely an extra play gadget! If you love photography or travel a lot, I would recommend saving up for this if you can’t spend the $299 right now because it is worth the money. I feel photographers could do so many cool and artistic things with this and travelers could take so many amazing outdoor pics with this camera!
