I am very excited to share with you my favorite new hair tool, a Sedu Revolution Clipless Curling Iron!
The Sedu comes with the clipless curling iron and a glove. Right away you can tell this is a quality product. The box it comes in is very sleek and polished. As you open it you can see the Sedu fitted snug so it can’t be moved around.
The heat control goes up to 350 F. There are 4 settings: Auto, Low, Medium, and High. I personally always leave all my hair tools on high. I have thick hair and need all heat I can get to achieve the max staying power. If you are not an instruction reader you might end up like me and spend 20 minutes trying to figure how to turn this thing on. I thought it might have been my outlet at first then I thought I might have gotten a dud. The secret is to HOLD the power button! Once its on, you can press the button done for each setting.
The Sedu Revolution Clipless Curling Iron is 1inch and creates great sized curls. Not too big and not too small. I start with a strip of hair in my hand. I then put the wand near my had and wrap my hair upwards on the wand. I find winding it upwards easier for me. I hold it in place for about 45 seconds (yes, I actually count to 45, don’t judge me!). It comes with glove to prevent burning your hand while you are doing this BUT I’m a beauty rebel and did it without (I actually did get a little burned but we can pretend that didn’t happen).
On the bottom there is a little part of the iron you can pull out to make it in to a stand. I personally do not like it and do not use it. At first when I tried it, every time I would pick it up to use it, my hair would get tangled in the stand. It is a pain to flip it out when I need it and then in when I’m ready to curl my hair. If you just set it sideways on the table the hot part of the iron never actually touches the surface so I found that to be easier.
I’ve used this clipless curling iron a couple of times and I love it! The curls actually stay with minimal products. I have tried it with hair gel and no product at all. Both times were successful. Obviously this works better with some sort of styling product.
I really like the clipless curling iron better because it makes my hair kink-less. You know what I’mm talking about. When you have a regular curling iron and you twist your hair the wrong way or place it wrong, KINKS GALORE from that stupid clip. I never felt like my hair got the full heat because the CLIP was in the way. With this, the hair gets heat EVENLY.
Here is a before and after with my sideways pony tail for those days I don’t feel like REALLY doing my hair. As the day went by my curls loosened but still kept most of their shape. This is something a clip curling iron would never do for me (my hair wold just go flat and look wavy). I HIGHLY recommend the Sedu Revolution Clipless Curling Iron.
What do you prefer? Clipless or Clip?!
