I received Mineralogie Invisible Matte compact in one of my Little Black Bags. I’ve been using this everyday since then! I use this to set my Revlon Mousse Foundation. I only put it on in the morning and it lasts pretty long. It will usually last the whole 8 hour work day. I do apply more if I end up meeting friends after work. It has a very strong scent. I can’t put my finger on what it smells like but it does remind me of coconut. It doesn’t smell bad but if you don’t like makeup with scents, you will not like this. If you don’t mind a scent, it doesn’t smell bad which is always a good thing. I don’t use the puff it comes with, I use a regular fluffy face brush.
From Mineralogie’s website:
This is an absolute must have for makeup bags everywhere. Enclosed in our sleek mirrored compact, Invisibly Matte is just that — invisible. Made with Kaolin, a natural clay that absorbs oil on the skin and Rosemary to help tighten and firm, this pressed powder goes on light without adding color! Apply with the convenient applicator puff or with one of Mineralogie’s luxurious Deluxe or Dome makeup brushes. Always convenient, always invisible, always effective.
This retails for $38. Would I buy this again? Probably not because of the price. I think it was worth it when I got in my Little Black Bag but I do not think I would pay $38 for a powder compact buy itself. I’d rather splurge on foundation than a blotting powder, that is just my preference of course.
What is the most you’ve spent on a blot and/or finishing powder?
DISCLAIMER: I purchased this item myself.
