A sample of Ole Henrickson’s micro/mini peel came in my Enlighten Me kit. I used it once and loved it so I bought a whole pack. I have been really seeing improvement in my skin from using products from this brand. The box comes with 6 packs, for me this is enough for 12 micro peels. In each pack there are 3 steps (almond polish, lemon strip, and chamomile comfort). I use half of each step and put the rest in a ziploc bag for the next peel. The instructions say to use bi-weekly but I do it once week. I have tough skin so it works fine for me when I do it once a week, sometimes I want to use it everyday, BUT that might be over doing it 😛
The first step is the almond polish. MMMM you will want to eat this. This smells sooo good. You use this after you wet your face and just scrub away. It has bits and pieces to help scrub the surface of your skin. When I did this for the first time, my skin felt “raw” from ll the scrubbing. There is a sponge that comes with the pack that you can use for this step. I prefer to use my hands or Clarisonic.
Next is the lemon strip. Warning, I would be careful with this at first. When I first tried this, I used the whole package and burnt some parts of my skin. I actually had little scabs. I now use half of it and it still stings but not as bad as the first time. Since I have done this 4 or 5 times now, the stinging gets less noticeable. I might use a whole package next time to see how it works now. It might hurt a little but nothing bad at all. If it feels like its burning the crap out of you (like it did to me the first time) it might be, so be careful! You can see below that my face is getting red from it. The product is a clear gel like substance.
The last step is the chamomile comfort. This is a mask you put on top of the lemon strip. It cools it down a little. You will still feel a little stinging still from before but it will go away. This stays on for about 15 minutes. I like to play Candy Crush during this 🙂
After you rinse all this stuff off, you will see instant results! Your skin will be smooth and noticeably brighter. This stuff is amazing! I would definitely recommend paying $45 for the Ole Henrickson Mirco/Mini Peel! This is a great price considering how much a peel would cost at a spa.
DISCLAIMER: I purchased this myself.
