Even though I have not been posting daily about my 21 Day Fix journey, I have stuck to the plan 100%! As I am writing this, I have just completed day 4. All I can say is that I AM SORE. I am down 4 pounds already so the soreness is WORTH IT. I wanted to share a little more about how it going for me today.
FOOD. I am a big eater. If you ask any of my friends they will tell you I am ALWAYS hungry and will clear my plate plus some when we go out to eat. I do eat healthy MOST of the time but I am a foodie and some of the world’s best foods are fattening (fried chicken, bone marrow, fatty ramen noodle, friend pickles, new york cheesecake, french macarons, french fries, you get the picture..) so stuff happens and lots of yummy thing get eaten. I am in the lowest calorie category in the 21 Day Fix program and have the least amount of servings out of the other categories. I was nervous I would be hungry because the containers look so small! I am excited to say that this was NOT the case at all. I have been satisfied ALL day. I’m also surprised by how much food really fits in the containers. I wish I could have another carb (yellow) serving though, I love the carbs! OH and I almost forgot to tell you what my favorite Shakeology mix is! I try to do a different Shakeology drink each day, and my favorite so far is the chocolate Shakeology with a serving of fresh strawberries blended with water and ice. SO GOOD! It taste just like strawberries and chocolate! FYI- Even if you are not doing 21 Day Fix, Shakeology is a great heathy meal replacement. I will still probably get them for a quick breakfast after I finish this program.
WORKOUTS. These 30 minute workouts really do make you sweat! I have not yet completed a whole DVD without stopping on an exercise! With each day I have been able to stick with the workout more and more though, so hopefully I will be able to finish a whole one soon! The first day was Total Body Cardio and it left me SORE as can be. The next days of upper and lower body workouts help add to the pain I was enduring. The 4th day of 21 Day Fix was pilates which was painful I got to sit and lay down a lot so it wasn’t AS BAD as the other workouts!
RECIPE. I like to make food that is not plain and boring when I’m on a diet so today I am sharing a 21 Day Fix recipe I made for lunch one day.
It uses one green container with carrots, celery, cauliflower, and onions (or whatever veggies you want), a yellow container of brown rice, a red container with 2 eggs, and the 21 Day Fix all purpose seasoning (I also added ginger powder). All I did was spray some cooking spray in a pan and stir fried all the veggies until they were tender. I then pushed them the side of the pan and sprayed a little more cooking oil on the side of the pan that is empty. I put the two eggs on that side and scrambled them up. Once they were cooked, I added the rice and seasonings and stirred everything together. This was so good and only used 3 containers!
