I love a good clay mask! With my oily skin I knew Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask was going to something good to try for my skin.
From their site:
“Our skin can often become congested with many cleansing masks over drying the face. This mineral rich oceanic clay mask contains a negative electrical charge which acts like a magnet helping to draw deep-rooted impurities out of the skin without drying. Its hydrating and oil absorbing properties leave skin soft, smooth and wonderfully cleansed. 4.2 fl. oz.”
This mask isn’t any different than any other clay masks that I have tried before. It does it’s job and that is all I care about in a clay mask! Take all the oils away from me! This mask has a smell of clay, no scents or anything like that is added to this product. When I first opened it, a lot of liquid came out. Maybe I should have shaken it before?! Actually this is the most watery clay mask I have used. I made a little mess when opening and putting it on me. I’m use to a thick mask. The texture of this is definitely much thinner than the other clay masks I am use to. After I let it dry for about 10 minutes, I rinsed it off and patted my face dry. It does what it says, my skin did feel cleaner, softer, and smoother.
This mask retails around $10 for 4.2 fl oz. It is a good product because it does what it says but I just do not like the thin watery consistency, this is just my preference!
What is your favorite clay mask?!
