Today some of the members of the Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida are showing our blue posts for Autism Awareness Month. To read more about Autism you can go here, this site has tons of information. I actually spent some time on that site since I am not that educated about Autism. Some of the facts and statistics surprised me!
What I Used
This took some time but it was so worth it! I did this while listening to my scuba diving online class (who wants to go scuba diving with me after I get certified?!) 🙂 I first put on two coats of Essie Blanc. I then used a ziploc bag as a canvas area. I put a couple of drops of Sinful Colors Endless Blue, Color Club Williamsburg, and Sally Hansen Brisk Blue on the bag. I dipped a small nail brush in some acetone and dabbed it in Sinful Colors Endless Blue. I dragged some of the polish to mix with the acetone more. I added more and more acetone until the color looked see through. I then just started dabbing it and making lines in random places all ovr my nails. I did the same for Color Club Williamsburg and Sally Hansen Insta Dry Brisk Blue. Next time I will not be using an Insta Dry polish, it worked fine but obviously dried faster so I had to use lots and lots of acetone! I used Sinful Colors Hottie on my ring finger as an accent nail. I wanted some glitter in my mani but didn’t want to put it over all my nails because it kind of covers the watercolor art!
I love this technique! I might even film a video on how I did it soon 🙂
