After reviewing some makeup from Glo Minerals I wanted to try some of their face products. I saw a lot of good reviews about Glo Minerals Pressed Base so I decided to give it a go. I am a foundation junkie and I love trying lots of different ones to see what is best for my oily skin! I also picked up Glo Minerals Moist Hydration Mist since they recommend this with the use of the pressed base.
I use Glo Minerals Moist Hydration Mist on my face after cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and priming my face. After I spray it, I let it dry a little, and then apply the pressed base. I like the spray nozzle on this since it feels like it really gives a mist rather than a strong spray. I feel like this give me face that little bit of moisture to make the pressed base stay better.
Glo Minerals Pressed Base is a sheer to full coverage powder foundation and gives a semi matte finish. I have been using this pressed base on days I know I won’t be out for the whole day. It has good coverage and evens out the red on my face and evens out my face. I found it goes on amazingly with a beauty blender! When I used several different brushes, my pores were very visible, but when I used a swiping motion with a beauty blender, my pores disappeared. This pressed base did an okay job on shine control. It wasn’t the best but it was not bad at all for oil control. I had to blot about every 2-3 hours. This is not abnormal to me since I do have oily skin. Even though can be built to full coverage, I still needed a concealer for my dark spots. I would consider this more sheer to medium coverage for me. To be honest though, I don’t always care about having a flawless face so I don’t usually bother if I won’t be out for long and I’m wearing this base. No biggie!
You can see below how it matches perfectly with my skin. I have yellow undertones and got the shade Golden Medium.
For me personally, I like Glo Minerals Pressed Base for days when I don’t feel like wearing heavy makeup or days when I know I won’t be gone for long but want my face to look nice. I would consider this one of the products I would reach for when I have a rushed day or a day I want minimal makeup!
Have you tried this before?!
