I recently bought the Tarte Tarteist Clay Paint Liner to try. This retails for $24 and comes with the eye liner tube as well as a small bent brush.
The tube has a “bending tip” that is really helpful to get the right amount of product on the brush. The consistency of the eye liner is not too thick and not too thin which I really like. I do not usually apply eyeliner with a brush so it was an easy consistency to work with for a newbie. This liner produces dark black lines. The staying power was great, it lasted all day long and didn’t budge until I ashed it off at the end of the night. Also a tip, make sure to wipe off excess liner after using it on the blending tip, it will dry up and get all gunky!
The brush was not my favorite, at all. I found it very hard to make a point on my winged liner. Let me also say again, I am not use to doing my liner this way with this brush. I am more of a Kat Von D Tattoo Liner kinda girl when it comes to my winged liner. I found the brush good for making thick lines but when I tried to make a point, I was failing miserably. When I used my Bdellium 708 bent liner brush I had better luck. The Tarte bent brush didn’t have as pointy as a tip like my Bdellium 708. Maybe with more practice I could make the Tarte brush work, but honestly, since I have one that I personally think works for me, I will never use the Tarte brush ever again!
Below was my first time use of this product! The actual paint liner as great. It does the job it says it will do and I love how it lasts all day. The brush was a fail but I’m sure people who are more talented than me will like it!
Have you tried this yet?!
