Two months ago I was sent some products from a new company called Vain Pursuits. This is a skincare company that sends you skin products for your specific wants and needs. I was sent a questionnaire and these products were made for me with the answers I supplied. They come in small sizes so you can test the products out. For a month I tried out a cleanser, toner, and night cream that they created for me.
This was also perfect timing since I was just starting to travel every week for work and these are travel friendly 🙂
The first item I used in my daily night routine was the cleanser. It had a grapefruit and mint scent to it. It was actually too minty for me, I did’t really smell any grapefruit. I would have to say out of the 3 products, this was m least favorite. I am very picky when it come to my cleansers. I need something to get all of my makeup off and oils. This did an okay job but I would not get the same formula again.
The toner smelled AMAZING! I wanted to keep spraying my face over and over again. I used this after cleansing my face day and night. I did feel it tighten my skin which is always a good feeling for me! I also like how it came in a spray bottle, I am not a fan of the ones where I need a cotton ball.
My favorite item of the 3 was the night cream! The scent of vanilla and bergamot was so lovely! I liked how it was a totally different scent than the toner but still smelled so good. This wasn’t too heavy and really did make my face smooth and moisturized the next morning. I had no complaints with this product! I know some people don’t like jars, but I really have no problem with them 🙂
I really love the idea of customized ANYTHING and skincare is definitely something that is personal to everyone since we are all so different. Another cool thing is that when you order more product, you can tell them what you didn’t like so they can alter it for you. This company really takes that extra step to make your experience really personalized. They even hand write your ingredient cards!
Do you think you will be giving personalized skincare a try in the future?
