For the past couple of weeks I have been using the Forea Luna. If you have no idea what this is, its a face cleansing tool that retails for $199. It has a silicone feel and vibrates to really get the gunk off your face. There are actually 3 different versions of this particular one. The pink version is for sensitive/normal skin, the white one is for ultra sensitive skin, and the one I have is the blue version for combination skin. I really wanted to get the pink one but I decided to be good and get the one that matched my skin type 😛
This gives off up to 8,000 pulsations per minute with its soft silicone points. This helps remove dead skin and helps unclog pores through its vibrations. It takes off more makeup and dirt than a regular face wash with your hands.
Since its made with silicone it does not feel rough on your face at all. You can also use this everyday since it will not disturb your skin. It is also said to resist bacteria buildup, making it a little more hygienic than cleaning brushes.
The lower frequency pulsations are directed through concentric silicone waves onto wrinkle-prone areas to smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The anti aging mode is on the backside (see last picture below).
The Foreo Luna is super easy to use. Take off all makeup and start putting on your regular face cleanser. They tell you to use the device on each section of your face for 15 seconds, there will be pause every 15 seconds so you know when to switch areas. After 1 minute, press the middle button and rinse your face off with water. By pressing the middle button, this will put the Luna on standby until you are ready to start the anti aging step. After rinsing your face off, press the middle button again. With the back side of the Luna, apply it to wrinkle prone areas for 12 seconds each, the Luna will pause every 12 seconds.
One of the things I like about this is that it is great for travel. I do not have to worry about bristles getting bent and its not bulky so if I had to, I could literally throw it in my purse as is. I also like how you can change the vibration speeds. I don’t really enough it on the highest setting because it makes my hands feel weird after holding it for 2 minutes so I like having the option to turn it down. This does seem to get more makeup off after I use it, however, I can not speak about the anti aging part since I have not seen anything noticeably different.
What do you think about the Foreo Luna? Do you have it? Will you be trying it?
