HELLO ULTRA HD! I was sent 3 of the shades from the MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation and luckily one of them was a PERFECT match for me! I was so excited to try these since I didn’t get to make it to their booth at GenBeauty because the lines were CRAZY!!
This foundation has 40 shades so you can really find your perfect match. This retails for around $43 and worth it! Since everything is moving into 4K they wanted to develop their foundation to also be seamless under 4K filming conditions. This is a medium to buildable coverage and contains hyaluronic spheres suitable for all skin types. This one is similar to the prior HD foundation but has some improvements.
After trying out all three shades (Y235, Y255, and Y305), shade Y305 was the PERFECT match for me. I once tried the first HD foundation, and was not a fan. It didn’t control my oils and it came off very quickly. I think one of the main reasons was because of my skin. I recently began a new skincare routine which I think has changed my face (I’ll get to that later)! Anyways, after trying the new Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation for the last couple of weeks, I have to say I am enjoying this a lot! The first layer I put on is too sheer for me so I always go back with another layer. Even though this is buildable I wouldn’t consider this a full coverage foundation, because I do need concealer if I have bad dark spots. When I use the Ultra HD foundation in combination with the MUFE Step 1 Smoothing and Mattifying Primers, my makeup stays on all day! My oils do peek through around 5 hours, but that is pretty good fro my skin! The foundation feels very light on and the consistency is not thick at all. I prefer to use a beauty blender to put it on, but it works well with brushes too.
The four Makeup Forever Step 1 Skin Equalizer primers I tried were the smoothing (for Llarge pores & fine lines), mattifying (for oily skin), hydrating (universal formula for normal skin with occasional dryness), and nourishing (for constant dryness). I have been using and mixing the smoothing and mattifying primers together and they work marvelously together! The smoothing primer is nice a thick and fills in my pores. The mattifying primer really helps my oils stay put! With the combination of the MUFE primer and Ultra HD Foundation, my makeup looks great for the day!
Have you tried the MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation?! If you haven’t, do you think you will? Let me know!
