I received 2 At A Glance Planners to share my thoughts on. Paper planners now a days are not just for writing down meetings. Now a days paper planners are also used as a creative outlet to jot down memories, milestones, and to make pretty pages in addition to the regular planner notes.
I received the AT-A-GLANCE® Collection 2016 Weekly/Monthly Planner – Large (left) and the AT-A-GLANCE® 2016 Vienna Weekly/Monthly Planner – Medium (right) planners.
The large planner is great for the desktop and has lots of rooms to write (and decorate). It has a monthly calendar in the beginning of each month and then lined boxes for weekly spreads. This is great if you like or need to write a lot. For me, I prefer smaller ones for important notes because I do not need to write much and I like to be able to carry it around in my purse. This one though will be great for photos and jotting down memories! I have a mini photo printer that prints small pictures that would fit in this planner perfectly. I will most likely use the monthly spread for monthly photo challenges and just stick the mini photos on to each day’s square! I will also use this one to help me keep track of different milestones from my blog. For instance, I usually do a victory dance in my head when I hit different milestones in followers, subscribers, or page views, this year I think I will write them down so I can look back and see when I accomplished them!
Out of the two, I prefer the smaller one. I also love the color and the designs in the inside. This purple planner is just so pretty inside and out and it super portable. I will use this one for writing down goals and daily activities since it will be the one I am always with. I find that writing down a goal or task makes me more motivated to cross it off, therefore I will more likely get the goal or task done.
I have already set up my planner for the first week of the new year. You can see how I like to make the planner more mine by adding fun stickers and decorations! I love having a variety of pens and markers of all sorts . Washi tape can also help spruce up a page or add dividers between days. You can also find all sorts of cute stickers in arts and craft stores. I got some hydration stickers to remind me to drink 8 glasses of water a day! I also got some stickers so I can track my hours for work! Paper planners are so great for customizations!
