Contouring is so hot right now! If you haven’t tried it but want to, I have some products you can use that won’t break the bank and a simple tutorial that you can try!
These 3 product from Maybelline will be the star of my tutorial today. From left to right we have the Maybelline Master Contour Palette, Maybelline Dream Velvet Blender, and the Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation. All of these were found at my local Walmart. Contouring using these products are part of my LOOKS TO LOVE for this Valentines Day!
- First you need a nice base to work on. I squeeze a little of the Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation on the Maybelline Dream Velvet Blender and spread it all over my face evenly. I will go back and dab a little more on areas where I need extra coverage.
- Next with the Maybelline Master Contour Palette, I pick up the brush that came with it and start with the first contour shade. I place this on my hollow of my cheeks, my neckline, forhead, temple, and side of my nose. I then take the second blush shade and place on the apples of my cheek as well as a little bit going towards my temple. I then use the third shade for highlighting on top of my cheek bone, on the middle of my nose, and a little on my forehead. Its okay if your face looks crazy, when you blend it out, everything will look nice and even.
- With the Maybelline Dream Velvet Blender I blend in the order I placed the shades. I first blend out all the contouring areas, then the blush, and then the highlight areas.
- For a quick look, I just added mascara, eyeliner, and a bright pink lip!
I got the Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation in the shade 60 Sandy Beige which is a pretty great match for my yellow undertone skin tone! This feels so nice on and actually doesn’t make me an oil slick! Since this is a medium coverage foundation, its perfect for everyday.
The Maybelline Dream Velvet Blender is a neat little sponge for when you don’t want to use your fingers. I especially love this for covering up blemishes!
The Maybelline Master Contour Palette set is great for on the go contouring. I like how its a set and I can easily bring this in my travel bag. I also like how the contour shade has no shimmer but the blush and highlighter shades have a touch of shimmer. The Master Contour palette I got was Medium/Deep one.
The foundation and blender seem to be a hit, there were lots missing from the display! I was lucky enough to find my shade in the foundation! What do you think?! Will you be trying the Maybelline Master Contour Palette, Maybelline Dream Velvet Blender, or the Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation?
