I was so excited to snag some tickets to Rooster and the Till Dinner Series with Eden Hill! Keep on scrolling to see all the yummies they created for us!
What is the Rooster and the Till Dinner Series with Eden Hill?!
My favorite restaurant in Tampa, Rooster and the Till, created a dinner series where they invited special chef’s from all over the US to come cook a special meal with them in their Seminole Heights location. These special dinners are between $180 and $200. This particular one included 6 wine pairings in the price. It was a nice surprise to my friends since we didn’t know! I don’t drink so it didn’t matter to me! I was really excited about this dinner series event with Maximillian Petty because of the molecular gastronomy elements he uses. I was super super excited that I also didn’t have to fly anywhere to get a fun unique meal! After I stalked his IG for like 2 minutes, I immediately bought 4 tickets for my boyfriend and a friend and her hubby. It’s great having foodie friends who don’t mind to spend a little extra money when it comes to food!
My Company at Rooster and the Till Dinner Series with Eden Hill
Another important part of a great meal is the company! These are the lovely people who joined me for this great meal! This dinner series is also different because the whole restaurant is getting the same meal at the same time.
What I Ate at Rooster and the Till Dinner Series with Eden Hill
SOUR GRAPE WITH BEAT SUGARS– After the chefs and owners gave us a little run down about the collaboration we sat down to this weird looking tray! It was just a cute little bite of sweet and sour and earthy flavors in a very cool looking form!
TOMATO TARTARE, VIETAMESE RED BASIL, PEACH “YOLK”– Soooooo the 2 things in the food world I do not like are raw onions and raw tomatoes (I eat them when they are cooked/ stewed). Every time I get a tasting menu there is always a dish with tomatoes! HAHAHA. This was actually not bad though, this is coming from someone who hates tomatoes! Everyone else at my table LOVED this! The yolk was fun because it was actually peach and not an egg yolk!
HAMACHI TARTARE, WATERMELON, CHICKEN SKIN, QUAIL YOLK– Wow! Such fun flavors! This was so refreshing and the crispy chicken skin was such a great touch for that extra saltiness and crunch!
BRISKET, OYSTER EMULSION, SEAWEED TORTILLA, CHINESE CORIANDER– This was my absolutely favorite course! The thing on top was a light sort of crispy seaweed tortilla that I could just east as a snack. I wish I could have a bag of these! The brisket and oyster emulsion were just soooo good. I am still thinking about this course today!
CAVIAR, ICE CREAM– This was a little surprise in between our courses. Caviar and ice cream, who would have thought?!
PORK SECRETO, LEBNEH, BURNT CARROT, GRANOLA, OLIVE– This was very good! The pork was perfectly cooked! My carrot was a little fibrous but everyone else at my table had really soft delicious ones! The mix of flavors from the lebneh to the granola was unexpected and very good.
PICKLED FOIE GRAS, FRENCH TOAST, PLUM– This may sound totally crazy but wow! I want pickled foie gras on ALL MY FRENCH TOAST!! I also loved how it came with plums instead of the usual berries!
DOUBLE CHOCOLATE GELATO, FOIE GRAS BROWNIE BITES, FOIE DULCE, FELXIBLE GANACHE, PEANUTS– This was just a fun plate of foie gras! So many fun flavors and textures. I liked mixing everything to get the best bite with all the flavors!
We all had a great time at Rooster and the Till Dinner Series with Eden Hill and we left full and happy! If you’re in Tampa, FL make sure to give Rooster and the Till a try!
