I have a make shift beauty area. It’s basically a bunch of IKEA furniture pushed to a side of my “hobby room”. I was currently using a slim portable mirror as my main mirror but I was finally able to upgrade it with a SimpleHuman Sensor Mirror Pro Wide View! I have been eyeing this beauty for awhile so I am pumped to have this on my beauty station now!
About SimpleHuman Sensor Mirror Pro Wide View
This wide mirror has 3 parts. The middle mirror is stationary while the two sides can be moved. There are two strips of light on each side of the middle mirror. Its also comes with a small round magnification mirror that sticks on the bottom of the middle mirror. The SimpleHuman Sensor Mirror Pro Wide View retails for $400. The mirror also has an app that you can download on your phone. The app can adjust the brightness of the mirror to various different settings. You can also adjust the automatic light turn off time through the app.
My Quick Review On SimpleHuman Sensor Mirror Pro Wide View
Since I have been using a smaller mirror to get ready, this is such a great upgrade for me! To be honest, the side mirrors do nothing for me. I don’t really use them at all. The middle mirror is what I use the most and I like the lights on the sides of it to brighten everything up. I do wish there was more light, like maybe all the way around to get more even lighting, however, the lights are bright and get the job done for me.
Now lets talk about the small magnification mirror that comes with this. The small magnification mirror only stay on on certain parts of the mirror: the center mirror from the middle downwards and the side mirrors on the bottom. When I use it on the side mirrors though, it falls down almost to the edge of the mirror. I also find the area that it goes on in the middle is not very convenient. You have to bend down and over to see anything in the mirror. It would have been better if it stuck on to the tops of the mirrors.
There is an app that you can download to change the lighting to certain settings and to change the auto on and off function. I personally downloaded it, changed my light setting to the highest setting, changed my auto off function to 10 seconds, and then deleted the app. For me, I will never change the brightness of the light or anything else so I didn’t want an extra app on my phone.
Is The SimpleHuman Sensor Mirror Pro Wide View Worth It?
Maybe. It depends on your spending comfort and how often you would use this. Even though I received this as a press sample, I was ready to purchase this $400 mirror on my own anyways. My spending budget for tech things is probably higher than some because my BF and I LOVEEE new gadgets. For me, I think it’s worth it because the size is double than what I had before. I also love the lights because my room’s lighting is horrible and yellow. It turns on automatically and turns off so I don’t have to do anything. I don’t ever use the magnification mirror so that part doesn’t really bother me. However, if you already have a nice lit area with a big mirror, there is definitely no point on getting this. I think the price is more expensive because of the convenience it has for people without the huge mirrors and good lighting. This is not something so extra ordinary that you NEED but I am happy to have it in my makeup space and use it multiple times a day!
