ABOUT L’Oréal True Match Lumi
Say hello to the newest member of my morning make up routine, the L’Oréal True Match Lumi Glow Nude Highlighter. The collection consists of two different palettes, Moonkissed and Sunkissed, which compliment different skin tones and retails for around $12.99 per palette. Each palette contains 4 highlighting powders that can be used together or separate for the perfect glow for your face.
I don’t normally wear highlighters but was happy to give them a try! Between the Moonkissed palette for cooler skin tones and the Sunkissed for warmer, I chose the Moonkissed, as I have fair to light skin and the powders in this palette are more on the natural side and would best compliment my skin tone. Being new to highlighters I was relieved that this product took the guess work out of selecting the perfect color combination and that the combination of the 4 highlighting powders blended so well with each other. I also love love love that the packaging had a quick use easy guide on the back of it, giving newbies like me a fighting chance of making it work.
AMBER’S QUICK REVIEW ON L’Oréal True Match Lumi
The product is wonderful! The highlighter powder goes on smooth, sheer and is easy to build on. The sheen doesn’t come off as glittery, which is something I was afraid of and this prevented me from trying highlighters sooner (flashback to 90’s roll on glitter). The shimmer of the powder catches the light in all the right ways. For the day I go a little lighter and then before I head out for the evening I add another sweep to darken it just a bit. It gives a natural looking glow to my face that makes me look awake, refreshed and dare I say younger.
Was L’Oréal True Match Lumi worth it?
This highlighter palette was worth the money for me (which wasn’t a lot!). It gave me a more finished/polished look before running out the door without adding unnecessary time and effort to my morning and managed to last the entire day.
